WASHINGTON, PA, May 14, 2022 — Forced to an opening panel in a ridiculous 25.4, Wild Wild Western persevered and collected his sixth straight harness racing win in Saturday’s $16,000 Open Handicap Pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Wild Wild Western was four-wide for much of that first panel, but he showed again why he’s the dominant local pacer. With Mike Wilder at the helm, he easily turned back the first-over bid of Southwind Amazon and held off the rallying Dorsoduro Hanover by 1/2 length in 1:50, with Carolina Beach third.
Dorsoduro Hanover, a double millionaire, has finished second or third in each race of Wild Wild Western’s current streak.

Norm Parker trains Wild Wild Western, a 6-year-old son of Western Ideal-Caila Fra who now has banked $446,885 in his career, for Jacobs Creek Racing, Andrew Altobelli and Jon Deters. It was one of three wins for Wilder on the 10-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday when the program features a pair of carryovers: $8,541.97 in the final-race Super Hi-5, $2,376.92 in the Jackpot Pick 5. First post is 12:45 PM.
