WASHINGTON, PA, Sept. 4, 2021 — Wild Wild Western let Done Well do the heavy lifting on the lead, then edged by him in the shadow of the wire to capture Saturday’s $17,600 Open Handicap harness racing pace at The Meadows.
Done Well was hammered down to 1-5 in the wagering and looked very much the part, throwing down a swift 1:22 three-quarters. But he couldn’t shake the pocket-sitting Wild Wild Western, who moved wide for the drive for Mike Wilder and edged the favorite by a head in a career-best 1:49.3. Windsong Leo finished third.
