“Thunderously has the pedigree and conformation to make him a great choice for Delaware breeders,” said Joe Thomson, Winbak Farm Owners. “He should be a great cross for many mares.”

Thunderously is a son of New York Sire stakes Final Winner, Anikawiesahalee, who has produced 4 foals from 5 of racing age. As a yearling, Thunderously sold for $130,000 at Harrisburg.

Thunderously is a Walner half-brother to O’Brien Award Winner, Resolve, 1:50.4 ($2,587,684). At 2, Resolve won the Kindergarten Classic. At 3, Resolve won the Tompkin-Geers Stakes. At 4, Resolve won the TVG FFA elimination and $400,000 Final, Vincennes Trot and elimination for the Maple Leaf Trot (he was second in the $516,800 Final). At 5, Resolve won the $200,000 A.J. Cutler Memorial Final and $1,000,000 International Trot. He also the $ 480,320 Maple Trot Final and elimination. He was second in the Breeders Crown Final at 4 and 5. At 6, he won the $303,050 John Cashman Memorial and $170,000 Crawford Trot Open.

“When I discovered Thunderously was for sale, I knew right away that we had to have him,” said Jack Burke, Winbak Farm General Manager. “With him being a half-brother to Resolve, a proven sire of Stakes Winners, and a son of Walner, who is highly sought after, it made him a no-brainer decision for our farm.”

Resolve is the sire of multiple O’Brien Award Winner, Righteous Resolve, 3, 1:52 ($781,483), O’Brien Award Winner, Duly Resolved, 1:52.4f –’24 ($737,232), and 2023 O’Brien Award Winner, Ghostly Casper, 1:51.4s –’24 ($595,489).

Thunderously’s second dam, New York Sire Stakes Winner, Sahalee, 1:58.1s ($91,878), produced 11 winners from 13 foals including 7 that earned over $100,000 including Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Final Winner, Wilsonator, 3, 1:56s ($470,188), and Ontario Sire Stakes Gold Final Winner, Legzy, 3, 1:55.4 ($274,473).

“With the enhancements to the Delaware program, including money being added to the purses, Delaware stallions need to step up their game so their offspring can be more competitive nationally,” said Thomson. “Winbak Farm is dedicated to finding stallions with top pedigrees to stand in Delaware.”

In 2025, Thunderously’s sire, Walner, will stand for $50,000. He is the sire of 6 Millionaires including 2024 International Trot Winner, Jiggy Jog S, 1:49.2 –’24 ($3,095,467).

“We encourage breeders to call our office for assistance with breeding-related questions,” said Burke. “Emily Warrington, our Stallion Administrator, who has a wealth of standardbred knowledge, is available 6 days a week during breeding season to help answer calls to assist breeders in making the best decisions or to help direct them to someone who can help.”

Thunderously will stand at Winbak Farm of Delaware for $2,500.

“I think he checks enough boxes he could show in conformation classes on the line at Hunter/Jumper shows,” said Judy Davis-Wilson, Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund longtime Director. “His favorite person at the barn says he has manners to go with his looks.”

More information on Thunderously can be found at www.winbakfarm.com. Please call Jack Burke at 410.885.3059 or email stallions@winbakfarm.com for more information.

“Winbak Farm plans on breeding some of our top trotting mares to Thunderously,” said Thomson. “With his outstanding pedigree and great looks, I expect his foals to be at the top of game in Delaware and nationally.”
