Harness racing’s Winbak Farm of Maryland and Winbak Farm of Canada have welcomed their first foals of 2024.
On Wednesday, January 10th, Winbak Farm of Canada’s first foal, the Cattlewash-Hope For Paddy filly, was born at 10:15 pm. Hope For Paddy, p, 2, 1:59.2f; 1:52.1s; 1:50.1s ($572,177), was a 35x Winner.
On Saturday, January 13th, Winbak Farm of Maryland welcomed their first foal, the Green Manalishi S-Young Michelle filly at 9:55 pm. This is the first foal from the mare. She is a half-sister to Michelle’s Way, 3, 1:56.1s ($248,072).
Both broodmares and their foals are doing well.
Visit the Winbak Farm Facebook page to submit your name ideas for these foals. Many foals will be posted this season for fans to have a chance to name a future racehorse. Several names have been used in recent years.
