WASHINGTON, PA, Aug. 7, 2024 — On the bench for 10 weeks, a refreshed Windsun Tiara (American Ideal-Windsun Princess) seized the early lead and drew off late to triumph in a career-best 1:51.1 in Wednesday’s harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, an $11,500 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.
Once Aaron Merriman reached the point with the 3-5 Windsun Tiara, the 4-year-old mare flicked aside the first-over challenge of Twenty Grand and defeated Cathy Hanover by 5 lengths. Hillbilyclassygirl was a ground-saving third.
