Winning Shadow trotted home for his seventh straight harness racing win Sunday (September 26) in MGM Northfield Park’s second race.
The six year-old gelding is owned by Racing To Win Stable of Chittenango, New York. Jordan Hope is his trainer and Chris Lems was aboard for the winning drive.
The seven consecutive victories have all been against the tracks best trotters in the weekly Open Handicap, where Winning Shadow is typically assigned the outside.
Winning Shadow was assigned the outside in a seven-horse field. Lems fired Winning Shadow off the gate and led at every call through fractions of :27.3, :57.1, 1:25.2 and 1:54.2, winning by 2 ½-lengths.

Sunday’s triumph increased Winning Shadow’s (Credit Winner – Sheena’s Shadow – Yankee Glide) season’s win tally to 16, represents his 33 lifetime score and increased his career bankroll to $521,041. He was the race favorite and returned $3.00 to win.
