Ronnie Wrenn, Jr., one of the Buckeye state’s best harness racing reinsmen, has been selected as the Winner’s Circle Award recipient for his outstanding 2024 season by the Ohio Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association.
Wrenn, the 38-year-old native of Michigan, found himself as the top UDRS driver at MGM Northfield Park (0.407) and Hollywood Gaming at The Meadows (0.384).
He had 592 wins and $7.4 million in purse earnings in 2024.
The highlight of his 2024 campaign was his victory in the $700,000 Breeders Crown Final with the two-year-old pacer, Louprint. The win was Wrenn’s first in the lucrative series.
Wrenn also scored wins in the $400,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Final (Louprint), the $252,000 Pennsylvania Sire Stake Final (Papi’s Rocket), the $100,000 #Senditin Invitational (Seafire) and $100,000 Charna President’s Pace (Act Fast).
Wrenn will receive his award at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association banquet on Saturday, January 18 at the Marriott Columbus Airport.
