Harness racing trainer Erv Miller has been fined $1,500 for sending the wrong horse out on the track. The event happened at Pocono Downs on July 30, 2024, in the third race. Horse was declared a non-starter, and the pari-mutuel money was refunded.
Trent Stohler received a $2,000 fine and five-day suspension when his horse, ER Rocky, was found positive for Dexamethasone at Harrahās Hoosier Park on May 11, 2024.
The two-year case against trainer Ken Tisa has come to the close. Tisa has been fined $1,000 and suspended for 45 days as his horse, Western Bayama, was found positive for Gabapentin on Feb. 19, 2022, at Freehold Raceway. Having gone through the judicial system, an Administrative Law Judge agreed with the NJ Racing Commission on the fine and suspension.
Robert Taylor has been fined $1,000 as his horse, Downthehillwego, was found to be positive for Dexamethasone on June 28, 2024, at the Harrison County Fair in Corydon, Indiana.
