Yo Tillie takes over top spot in Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll

Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series winner Yo Tillie (Tactical Landing) took over the No. 1 spot in the Week 14 harness racing edition of the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Wednesday while MGM Yonkers International Trot winner Lexus Kody vaulted into the Top 10.

Yo Tillie, a 3-year-old female trotter who is undefeated in nine races this season, became the third horse to be ranked No. 1 in 2025, following Louprint (weeks one through seven) and Miki And Minnie (weeks eight through 13).

Louprint, unbeaten in seven races this year heading into Thursday’s Grade 1 Little Brown Jug, remained No. 2 in the rankings. Yo Tillie and Louprint each received 15 of the 35 first-place votes, with Yo Tillie finishing 12 points ahead of Louprint overall.

Miki And Minnie, who had a seven-race win streak snapped by a second-place finish in her KYSS Championship Series final, dropped from first to third. Twin B Joe Fresh, who won the Milton Stakes in a Canadian-record-equaling 1:47.4, moved up to No. 4 while Milton runner-up Sylvia Hanover completed the top five.

Super Chapter, who won his KYSS Championship Series final, and Metro Pace elimination winner Beau Jangles were next in the Top 10, followed by Grade 1 MGM Yonkers International Trot winner Lexus Kody at No. 8.

Prince Hal Hanover (idle) and Emoticon Legacy (qualifier) rounded out the Top 10.

Periculum, who finished seventh in the International Trot, dropped out of the Top 10.

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will continue weekly on Wednesdays through the Grand Circuit season, does not determine year-end awards. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year, and Horse of the Year.

Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
