WASHINGTON, PA, March 17, 2023 — Shotguninthehotsun (Stay Hungry-Venus Rocks) moved relentlessly first over to overtake the harness racing leader, Tankalicious, and score in Friday’s second leg of the Wilbur Zendt Memorial at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. Slipmeamiki (Always B Miki) took the other $11,000 division in the series for 3- and 4-year-old pacing colts, geldings and horses.
Shotguninthehotsun was third when owner/trainer/driver Brady Jenson sent him after Tankalicious. The 3-year-old gelding inched past Tankalicious and ultimately downed him by 2 lengths in 1:54.4 over a sloppy surface. Ferragamo Hanover finished third.
