WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 6, 2022 — With three victories Thursday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, harness racing driver Brian Zendt soared past $30 million in career purses.
Zendt, 46, recorded his initial win in the sport in 1995 and has amassed 3,117 career victories. He enjoyed an especially productive stretch from 2011-2014 when he topped $2 million in purses each year.
Zendt got the milestone cash with Manofmanymuscles, who hadn’t visited the winners’ circle since 2020. Lisa Dunn owns and trains the 5-year-old gelding trotter.

In Thursday’s feature, a $12,100 Conditioned Trot, Rose Run Whitney chased Perlucky nobly with a big first-over move, only to fall 3/4 lengths short. But when the judges determined that Perlucky violated the pylon rules at the top of the stretch, Rose Run Witney was awarded the win while Perlucky was disqualified and placed back to second. Stickler Hanover finished third.
It was the second straight triumph for the 4-year-old daughter of Uncle Peter-Stonebridge Dancer, both with Jim Pantaleano aboard. Bill Daugherty, Jr. trains the winner, who boosted her lifetime bankroll to $155,073, for Susan Daugherty.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday when the 10-race program features a pair of carryovers — $1,206.26 in the Jackpot Pick 5 (race 4), $649,30 in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 PM.
