On the evening of July 22, Yonkers Raceway horsemen lauded 32-year-old Scott Zeron on the 4,000th driving victory of his still young career. The Ontario native notched the milestone win on July 14th at the Hilltop Oval.
For someone in the mere adolescence of his career, Zeronās driving resume is astonishing. In 2012, the youthful reinsman garnered a win in The Little Brown Jug with Michaelās Power. In 2013, Zeron, who now resides in Campbell Hall, New York, was the youngest driver to achieve the 2,000 win plateau. In 2016, Scott became the youngest driver to win a Triple Crown with Marion Marauder. Then, in 2020, he pulled off the biggest upset in Breeders Crown history, guiding Sandbetweenmytoes to victory in the 500,000 Breeders Crown Final at odds of 203-1.
āThe Standardbred Owners Association of New York is proud to boast the deepest driversā colony of any paddock in North America,ā said Joe Faraldo, SOA President. āScott Zeron is a mainstay of that colony, and we look forward to his continued presence for decades to come. Still in his early thirties, Scott has already acquitted himself as a consummate horsemen and accomplished professional.ā
