Visit the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame’s latest exhibition, “Driven to Abstraction” – modern paintings of harness racing drivers and horses capture the sport’s action and excitement through energetic brushstrokes, color and collage.
“Driven to Abstraction” includes Salvador Dali’s “American Trotting Horses, No. 1,” “Saratoga” and “Cadillac Hambletonian” by LeRoy Nieman, and “County Fair” and “Labor Day Trot” by Arthur K. D. Healy.
On Sunday, September 5, Goshen Historic Track will be hosting the New York County Fair harness races. Make it a day with a visit to Museum (doors open at 10 a.m. and free admission), a crafts fair, face painting and great food at the track beginning at 11:00, and live harness racing at 1:00.
The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, 240 Main Street, Goshen, New York is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-12. Current Museum and USTA members free. All visitors in the Museum must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
