A quartet of Ron Burke trained pacers will take center stage in the $134,370 Ohio Breeders Championship for two-year-old fillies in opening day harness racing action at the Delaware County Fairgrounds on Sunday, September 19.
In the first $67,185 division, the undefeated Sea Silk (Chris Page) will look to extend her winning streak to eight straight.
In her last start, the $300,000 Ohio Sire Stakes Final at MGM Northfield Park on September 5, the daughter of Downbythseaside overcame the outside post #8 and cruised to a three-length win in a world record time of 1:51 2/5.
Sea Silk, a $47,000 Downbytheseaside yearling purchase, now has earned $340,000 for Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi, Knox Services and the Hatfield Stables.
As a result of her previous performances, the racing officials at the Delaware County Fair have limited the wagering to āwin onlyā in the 6thĀ race.
