Talented Auckland Reactor gelding Reactor became the latest member of the ‘$100,000 Club’ when he won the Group 3 $30,000 Garrard’s Popular Alm Free-for-all at Bendigo on Saturday night (October 9).
The five-year-old pinged straight to the top at barrier and was never again headed, running out the 2150 metres in 2:33.5, a mile rating of 1:54.9. He carved out the last two quarters in 27.4 and 27.8 seconds.
Reactor Now, who was bred by Bruce and Vicki Edward, has won 12 of his 29 starts and $116,130 in stakes.
Auckland Reactor left winners in three different countries last week.
Jaffa NZ (Newcastle), Cinocal Jamane (Hobart) and the three-year-old Oscar Maguire (Central Wheatbelt, WA) were other Australian winners sired by Auckland Reactor.
In New Zealand, Auckland Reactor was represented by a ‘new’ winner in It’s a Shawthing (Methven) and the Invercargill winner Wolfenstein, while a former En Zedder in Smoke N Reactor carried the flag for his sire in Canada, scoring in 1:55.4 at Flamboro Downs.
Auckland Reactor has sired 94 individual winners in Australia to date this season for earnings of $1.46 million.
