HARRINGTON, DE – Ginger Tree Skyr ($17.40, Corey Callahan) was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:55.4 in the $17,000 harness racing featured conditioned trot Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.
The 5-year-old Explosive Matter gelding notched his 6th win of the season for trainer and co-owner Nick Callahan, who co-owns “Skyr” with Yorwollahan Racing Team, Stuart Chambers and Greg Godbout.
Driver Callahan sent Ginger Tree Skyr to the front and would never relent and held off a fierce late charge by Need Luck N for his 16th career win. Quiksilvr Bluechip was third. Ginger Tree Skyr has won 3 of his 4 starts over the Harrington half mile this year.

Later on the card, Elizabeth Brittingham and Bret Brittingham’s Big Secret ($3), notched his 9th win of the meet and 4th consecutive win with a front end score in 1:55.2 in a $7,500 claiming event for pacers.
Driven by co-owner Bret Brittingham, it was the 11th win of the season for Big Secret.
Harrington’s leading driver, Allan Davis had 5 wins on the card. Davis guided Captain Royalty ($6.20), Blue Carats ($3.80), Big Idea ($33.60), Blood Feud ($4.20) and Mom’s Little World ($3) to victory.
