Smart Changeover gelding Deus Ex NZ posted his fifth Albion Park win when he led throughout in a slick 1:56.5 mile rate over 2138 metres at the New Year’s Night meeting. The gelding has now earned more than $110,000 in stakes.
Changeover, whose progeny has banked $17.2 million lifetime, sired winners in three different countries during the holiday period.
Captain Starlight, a three-year-old, and Im Trouble scored at Gore, NZ, Dennis Denuto emerged successful on Boxing Day at Westport and Evidently won at the Reefton Cup meeting.
Other recent Changeover winners have been The Charging Moa NZ, a winner at Freehold Raceway, New Jersey in 1:58.2, and Awayovernight NZ (Mildura).
Changeover stands at Burwood Stud on Queensland’s rich Darling Downs.
