No rust found on Lydeo

WASHINGTON, PA, March 30, 2022 — Off since Sept. 28, Lydeo unleashed a powerful uncovered move that carried her to victory in a career-best 1:52 in Wednesday’s harness racing co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,300 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Lydeo kicked off her sophomore campaign in fine fashion for Hunter Myers, gobbling up the leader, Dragons Last, and defeating Winning Words by 1-3/4 lengths. Dragons Last saved show. Randy Bendis trains the daughter of Sweet Lou-Show The World and owns with Reed Broadway and Pollack Racing LLC.

LYDEO REPLAY

In Wednesday’s co-feature, a $10,300 Conditioned Trot, Mind Yown Business converted a pocket trip to victory in 1:55 for Jeremy Indof, trainer Dirk Simpson and owners Dirk Simpson Stable and Lawrence Barnett. The 6-year-old Lockkeeper-Take It Off Girl gelding lifted his lifetime bankroll to $228,194. Stickler Hanover and Cash N Chips completed the ticket.

MIND YOWN BUSINESS REPLAY

Dan Charlino and trainer Ron Burke teamed for a pair of wins while Aaron Merriman and Dave Palone joined them with doubles.

Wednesday’s Super Hi-5 was taken down, with the winning ticket returning $13,370.84. Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 11-race program features a $626.02 carryover in the Jackpot Pick 5 (race 4). First post is 12:45 PM.
