Plainville, MA — Benefiting from a perfect pocket trip, the favored Mr. Dunnigans brushed home a handy winner in the $17,500 pacing harness racing feature at Plainridge Park on Tuesday (April 12).
Driver Shawn Gray left with Mr. Dunnigans and settled in second behind Manholmes (Bruce Ranger) who led the field to the quarter in :27.1.
Positions remained unchanged to three quarters where the top two horses put some space between themselves and the field. At the top of the stretch, Gray tipped Mr. Dunnigans and coasted right by Manholmes and continued to the wire under a line drive to win by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:54.
It was the second and win of the year for Mr. Dunnigans ($3.60) who is also a perfect for five for five in the money in 2022. George Bullukian owns the winner along with Alicia Gray who also does the training.

Drew Monti and Bruce Ranger each finished with two wins on the afternoon card.
