American JJ ($9.00) forged right to the front and led to the first quarter in :28.4.Ā Ā He slowed things way down using a second quarter in :31.1 to be first to the half in 1:00.0.Ā Ā Bet Big On Blue (Leon Bailey) was first to make a move going first-up heading around the final turn.Ā Ā American JJ led to three-quarters in 1:29.1.
As they reached the stretch American JJ was still in control.Ā Ā Southwind Falcon (Ron Harp) popped out of the pocket and was gaining with every stride.Ā Ā American JJ dug in and won in 1:58.0.Ā Ā Southwind Falcon had to settle for second.Ā Ā Bet Big On Blue finished third.
American JJ is a 9-year-old gelding owned by Lewis and Lisa Miller and trained by Hannah Miller.Ā Ā It was his third win this season and his 31stĀ career victory.
