WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 4, 2022 — Even by his lofty standards, Friday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows was a remarkable day for harness racing trainer Ron Burke: seven wins, including a sweep of the day’s $15,400 co-features with Seeyou At Thebeach and In Rock We Trust.
Burke lost only one race in which his horse or horses went to post.
Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. piloted five of Burke’s winners while Dave Palone steered the other two. Wrenn and Palone finished the 13-race card with six wins and three wins, respectively.
Seeyou At Thebeach (Somebeachsomewhere-Persistent) moved powerfully first up from third to pass his stablemate, Market Based, in deep stretch and down him by a head in a career-best 1:49.4. Chief Mate shot the Lightning Lane for show.
Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, J&T Silva – Purnel & Libby and Kitefield Stable campaign the 5-year-old gelding, who now boasts a career bankroll of $308,248.
