Captain Ravishing draws pole in $250,000 Chariots

The most exciting harness racing pacer in Australia, Captain Ravishing (Captaintreacherous), has drawn the coveted barrier one for Saturday’s (Feb. 18) $250,000 Gr 1 Cordina Chicken Farms Chariots of Fire at Menangle.

The draw was completed this afternoon (Feb 13) for the rich feature on Night One of the Sky Racing Carnival of Miracles, a direct entry route to the $1 million Garrards Miracle Mile two weeks later (Mar 4).

Captain Ravishing is trained at Ballarat by Emma Stewart and has nine wins and one place from 13 starts – and on the back of the pole position draw, firmed into a $1.22 favorite in TAB fixed odds markets, ahead of fellow Victorian Catch A Wave ($7).  Tims A Trooper, Heza Son Of Agun and Republican Party are on the third line of betting at $11.

The Chariots of Fire is Race 7 at Menangle, timed to start at 9.52 pm.
