Millies Million (Armbro Baylor) still has far to go to be a true million-dollar harness racing horse but she is another example of a top pacer that has come from Manitoba, Canada that has found great success in larger racing arenas.
She was bred by Darryl and Sherri Mason of Killarney, Manitoba and started racing at the age of two for trainer, Richard Rey. It didnāt take long for Millies Million to find her winning stride as she won both of the major two-year-old stake races in Manitoba to finish off her rookie year. She ended up winning three of five starts during her rookie campaign and managed to finish in the top three every time she hit the half-mile track at Miami Fair.
She had similar success during her three-year-old year and found herself matching up with the top horses on the Manitoba circuit. She took the first jewel of the Manitoba triple crown by winning the Manitoba Great Western. Millies Million followed that up by winning the MSSBA Silk Lace final the following week. She earned her right to be in the 2021 MSSBA Futurity Final but was scratched due to her moving being sold and having to move to southern Ontario.
Millies Million has been with trainer, Jodie Cullen ever since and has been continuing her winning ways. She put together two wins at Flamboro Downs to start her journey outside of Manitoba. She has been finishing strong at mostly half-mile and five-eighth-mile tracks but has yet to earn a win on the larger Woodbine Mohawk Park track.
Millies Million has been owned by Travis Cullen this whole time as well and has usually been the one sitting in the sulky alongside her.
She just made her 70th appearance on Feb. 19th back at Flamboro Downs but unfortunately did not have the best race. However, it has been far from doom and gloom for the five-year-old mare. She has won 19 races in her career to this point and has a total of 45 top-three finishes. She has earned over $120,000 in purse winnings and has a lifetime mark of 1:54.2 which was achieved at Flamboro Downs.
