Muscle Dynasty (Muscle Hill) raced relentlessly for harness racing driver Corey Callahan and won the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Mar. 28). It was the sixth win of the season for the five-year-old gelding.
JL Cruze left quickly off the wings of the starting gate and forced tucks by Northern Express into third and Muscle Dynasty, who was able to ease into fourth place.
The 4/5 betting favorite Hillexotic was parked to the quarter by JL Cruze in :27 flat. Hillexotic remained head strong and led the field of quality trotters to the half in :55.2 (:28.2). Hillexotic continued to lead comfortably to the three quarters in 1:23.4, identical :28.2 quarters,
Muscle Dynasty maneuvered to the outside, past the half and grinded away on the rim. Embrace The Grind followed second over.
Hillexotic’s lead started to diminish in the stretch as Muscle Dynasty continued to inch up on the outside and collared a stubborn Hillexotic at the finish line. Muscle Dynasty won by a head in 1:53.3 and paid $9.80 for the win.

Hillexotic fought hard but finished second for trainer Ron Burke. Tim Tetrick drove. Northern Express found room late and finished 3rd for trainer Arty Foster Jr. Russell Foster drove.
Tim Tetrick earned a driving triple.
Highlights on the racing card for Wednesday include a $50,800 DSBF Late Closer Final for three year old Filly Pacers and the Mares Open Handicap Pace.
