Lying In Cash (Aracache Hanover) and harness racing driver Jason Merriman took the Saturday night (May 27) $10,800 featured Open Handicap Pace at Northville Downs after a two week freshener.
The seven-year-old scored in wire-to-wire fashion and drew off to win by 4 Ā¼ lengths after blazing fractions of 26.4, 55.4, 1:23.4, stopping the timer in 1:53 flat. It established a new seasonās best mark for the gelding and marked his 31st career victory. The win pushed his career earnings to $207,650. Fredās Nightmare (Drew Neill) settled for place and Commander Bob (Kody Massey) got up for third.
