Tioga Downs welcomes two harness racing divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old trotters for both colts & geldings as well as the fillies on Friday (June 9). The four divisions total $233,350 in purse money.

Cecil Hanover (Chapter Seven) and trainer-driver Ake Svanstedt should be the ones to beat in the $57,000 first division for colts & geldings (non-betting race). The gelding is one for one this season after winning a NYSS race at Vernon Downs.
The Gruffalo (Chapter Seven) and driver Scott Zeron are the 9-5 morning line favorite in the colt’s & geldings $57,000 second division. The colt fell just short against Cecil Hanover in hirst first start of the season in a leg of NYSS at Vernon Downs. He has won almost $240,000 in his career.
The Annie Stoebe trained Instagram Model (Chapter Seven) and driver Scott Zeron are the 3-1 morning line in the $59,200 first division for fillies. The filly finished second during a leg of the NYSS at Vernon Downs. She had five wins as a two-year-old and now has won almost $270,000 in purses.

In the fillies $60,300 second division Sadie Hanover (Chapter Seven) and driver Scott Zeron are the 2-1 morning line choice. Linda Toscano trains the unbeaten filly who is three for three this season including an impressive NYSS win at Vernon Downs.
The NYSS non-betting race will start at 6:00 p.m. The 14-race betting card starts at 6:15.
