Attending Pace night live is clearly the best way to enjoy the experience of watching the very finest horses compete. There are several dining options available to accommodate those customers with an appetite for more than just racing. If you prefer to simply sit outside and focus on the horses; admission, parking and grandstand seating are all free.
For those who like to get an early start on handicapping, full card race programs are free to download as well, as they are for each and every race card and Edison Hatter’s Race Reviews may be found on the track website and The Meadowlands’ Hall of Fame announcer Ken Warkentin has a history of coming up with longshots on the big night.
Pace night offers a $500 Win Wager Challenge in which six randomly drawn contestants will be awarded a $500 bet in the designated contest races. Enter by Race 4.

Tune into to The Meadowlands Facebook and YouTube pages at 3:00pm on Thursday (July 13) where Jessica Otten and Greg Blanchard will review and preview the Pace and several other important stakes on the program.
As if that weren’t enough to lure you to the track on Saturday, The Meadowlands will stage the “Best Burger Battle” in the Backyard from 5-11pm. Fans are welcome and encouraged to come out to purchase and taste some of the best burgers in the area. There is no admission fee and vending begins at 5pm. Fans can also enter to win a spot at the Judging Table where 2 burger loving fans will be selected to help judge the competition. There are also more than a dozen Food Trucks on the apron and throughout the Backyard along with DJ Alex pumping the beats.
Meadowlands T shirts have become a collector’s item over the years and the tradition continues with #PaceThis.
For those who simply can’t make it to The Meadowlands for the live racing, Saturday’s races will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 from 10:00PM to midnight as part of NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” with the Pace set to go off at approximately 10:40pm. The entire card will also be carried live stream on The Meadowlands Facebook and YouTube pages.
Being shown live along with the Pace final on the FS1 show are the $444,000 WR Haughton Memorial FFA Pace, featuring the fastest horses in the game, and both divisions of the $236,000 Stanley Dancer Memorial for the 3-year-old trotters serving as a preview to the August 5 $1,000,000 Hambletonian (also to be carried live in the Fox Sports network).
Hosts Jessica Otten and Gabe Prewitt will also have plenty of time to review last Saturday’s Pace eliminations and replays of several other major stakes that will be raced earlier Saturday evening. The entire card will be broadcast on the FanDuel sports channel, as they are each evening.
First post is 6:20 pm on Pace Night and there are no events scheduled in MetLife stadium to complicate the travel in and out of the complex.
