Lanjo Lee (So Surreal) and harness racing driver Tyler Miller captured the $15,000 Open Pace at Tioga Downs on Sunday (May 12).
Lanjo Lee ($12.60) took the lead and led to the quarter in :26.2.Ā Natameri (Braxten Boyd) then took the lead with a lap to go.Ā KJ Hunter (Jim Taggert Jr.) came flying up to challenge heading around the clubhouse turn.Ā Natameri led to the half in :55.1.Ā He would shake off KJ Hunter and lead to three-quarters in 1:22.2.
As they made the turn for home Lanjo Lee popped the pocket and went right on by to win in 1:50.1.Ā Natameri had to settle for second money.Ā Mea Culpa A (Ridge Warren) finished third.
Lanjo Lee is a 5-year-old gelding owned by Gordon Swift and trained by Jeff Sorenson.Ā It was his fourth win this season and his 23rd career victory.

Mike Merton and Tyler Miller drove three winners on the day.Ā Joe Skowyra had three training wins, he also was the pilot of one those horses, Fly Hawk El Fuerte.
