WILKES-BARRE, PA – At Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Monday afternoon, Diamante Hanover (Cantab Hall) and King Tut Hanover (Explosive Matter) stayed lively to the wire (during the second half of the card, the average final quarter was only :29.4) to take their respective $15,000 featured trots.
Diamante Hanover, trained by Emily Bost for owner Bruce Potter, sat a two-hole trip most of the mile, then came outside headstretch and went on to a 1:54.2 victory. Diamante Hanover was driven by Anthony Napolitano; his brother George won the other trotting feature in 1:56, a new mark, with the gelding King Tut Haonover, who made a second early move to the lead stand up to the finish, where he was a neck ahead of Mischievous G for trainer Louise Pepin, co-owner with Steven Bryden.
