CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – No Plan Intended served notice that he was back in the Sunday afternoon (Nov. 19) Preferred Pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The featured pace saw Jason Hughes steer No Plan Intended to a 1:53.4 first-over score in the $3,800 class for trainer Jennifer Doyle and owner Danny Birt of Earnscliffe. Island Beach Boy (Driven by Brodie MacPhee) was second ahead of American Risk (Gilles Barrieau). The former Gold Cup and Saucer runner-up last raced in Ontario before returning to Island soil for this winning effort.
Trainer-driver Corey MacPherson continued his hot streak with a triple from his Charlottetown stable. The Cornwall reinsman won with Evil Vintage (1:55.4), Now Showing (1:56) and Melanies Magic (1:55.1) for a training-driving triple. He also drove Yaris Seelster to victory in 1:58.2 for trainer Michel Langis for the driving quadruple to give him a total of nine wins on the weekend.
The father-son team of trainer Clifford Murphy and driver Ken Murphy teamed up for a pair of victories with Tango Seelster (1:55.1) in race 12 and The Mad Dragon (1:57.4) in race 4. Ken Murphy also steered Stonebeachlily (1:56.4) to victory in the race 15 finale for trainer Todd Hardy.
