Apparently, a harness racing horse after the second race at MGM Northfield Park Monday, July 11, ended up going into the infield pond and drowned.
The name of the horse was not known as of press time.
It was reported that when the horse was being unhooked from its race bike after the second race and got loose.
After the incident, racing officials cancelled the remaining races on the program for the night.
The canceled Buckeye Stallion Series races from Monday nightās program at MGM Northfield Park will be contested on Wednesday (July 13) at 4:00 pm.
